The gang!
These lovely, lovely friends of ours had hired a house for 6 weeks & we were lucky
Enough to be welcomed to hang out with them. They had a beautiful house with private pool & the beach was a 30 second walk!!!

Our beautiful beach which was so quiet and peaceful.
We also had free use of Kayaks which were great fun!
The water was so clear you could kayak out to the reef & spy on the fish & crabs.
Bliss!!! The glass of wine did not feature in the picture but it was definitely there!!
We hired a car for 3 days & took a tour of the island. Temples & Buddha's a plenty!!
We also came across a few other beaches but none quite as quiet or pretty as the one 30 second walk from our house!
Mothers Day walk home after a lovely meal in a restaurant on the beach front!
Up to the highest point on the island! It was an experience as we should have really had a 4 wheel drive but we didn't!!! It was rather bumpy to say the least and their signposting is not the best!

This really was a wee magical garden. Just like somewhere you would find the pixies & fairies hanging out!!
This was a great adventure. First was a ride up the hill on the top of the jeep for us brave travelers! Then across rickety walkways, up rocks & along dirt paths to the waterfall. We enjoyed a dip in the lovely cool water after all the hiking to get there. We then hiked up to the second waterfall for yet more cooling off before heading back down the rocks and rickety walkways back to the jeep for our second roller coaster type ride to the bottom of the hill.

Stopped at a little fishing village for a walk along the beach & some lunch.
Pulled into a hotel & sucessfully found a little piece of heaven! Complete with beach, pool, swing, hammock & cocktails!!
Very pretty, quiet with very friendly staff!
Then it was off to the night market to savour the atmosphere & some Thailand delights.
Back home at our own beach.
A stroll up the beach led to a small harbour for the fishermen.
Our last night on the island. Walk up to the end of the beach for a lovely Thai meal & cocktails!!
