WWA walking tour of Quito took us to some beautiful churches, old cobbled streets, local markets & the Presidential Palace!
Some cows feet for the popular local cows feet soup!!!!! This grew popular when the Spaniards invaded & kept all the good meat for themselves leaving the leftovers for the locals. It is still very popular today.
Then it was time for some Birthday Celebrations!!!! Our Josh is 10!!!!!
Chocolate cake for breakfast!!!
The biggest bubbly bath ever!!!!
Piñata time for poor Buzz!!!
Spot of boating & fun in the park!
Bowling & Chinese to finish off the celebrations!
Visiting the centre of the world!

Both Hemispheres at the same time!!!!!!
So turns out the measurements many, many years ago were a bit out!!!! Thanks to GPS the actual centre can be found a couple of hundred meters up the road at the Museo Inti Nan!!!!
Balancing an egg on a nail can be achieved at the centre of the world if you have the patience!! If you can you get a certificate to prove it!!!! Well done Josh!!!!
Saturday night entertainment!! Dancers galore!!
Up up & up we go!!!!
This is what Josh calls a 'bendally, bendally' bus as it has two bendy joins & is super long!!!! 25cents will get you a trip on one of these from one end of the city to the other!!!
A move to a hotel closer to the airport gave us some new friends to hang out with!!
A beautiful home/hotel renovated by the owner who is a carpenter. The main house was once the stables for the horses!
Early night needed for an early morning flight to the Galápagos Islands for two weeks of turtles, tortoises, seals, birds & iguanas!!!!!
