A hearty goodbye breakfast from Buenos Aires airport.
Off on the local bus to the famous Iguazu Falls.
It's about 10/15 minute walk from the station on metal platforms to the 'Devils Throat' with some beautiful scenery & wildlife along the way.
The noise was immense, the spray was a plenty & the view just blew our minds! I was blown away buy Niagra Falls but this is on another level! Truly spectacular sight with the surrounding greenery and the birds flying high & just the sheer size of these falls! We could have stared at it for hours, it was just mesmerising. I shall let the pictures speak for themselves now although with only an iPhone they really don't do the falls justice.
We weren't alone!!!!!
You can go in a large speed boat up the river close to the falls but it wasn't very warm that day & we saw lots of people soaked to the skin!!!
Off to the local to cheer on our Andy Murry in the Gold medal game of the Olympics. Could have gotten messy as he was playing the Argentinian!! But all taken in good fun even when we cheered very loud when he won!!! Josh even made a new puppy pal & we were home & in Jamie's in time for the medal ceremony!
After seeing the falls from the Argentinian side we were told that although you do get very close to the falls from this side the views from the Brazilian side are much better so bags packed & off we go over the bridge to the other side to see if we agree!
Off on the bus with the locals to the boarder crossing! Seems a popular trip!!!!!
Passports all stamped at the Brazilian border control & waiting on the next bus.
Up on the top platform viewing the falls.
We all agreed that the views were most definitely better from the Brazil but we are very glad we did both! Both experiences were special in their own way.
Some interesting signage from Brazil!
On the bus
In the ice cream shop
Everywhere. We did later find out it was a type of perfume but very puzzling at the time!
Iguazu Falls was not on our original wish list of plan but it was so worth it. A truly spectacular sight form either or if you can both sides! It should definitely be on everyone's wish list if ever in Argentina or Brazil!!
